Quotation: “Officials from the Welsh historic monuments body, Cadw, confirmed today they are considering an appeal to ask the Secretary of State for Wales to protect Great House Farm, Llandough, near Cardiff, as a listed building.”

Proves: Shows the South Wales Echo reported on 3 December 1988 that Cadw was considering spot-listing Great House Farm after the Buckler family’s eviction by BP bailiffs, and BP’s stated demolition intent.

Does not prove: Does not itself establish any injunction, title, or the farmhouse’s age; Its age figure of 39 for Buckler conflicts with another contemporary extract giving 40.
