Quotation (D/D XJF 64/30): “Note by Mrs Nancy Buckler of Great House Farm. Her father was John Williams of Great House Farm. He would have been born about 1867. Nancy about 1910.”
Proves: D/D XJF 64/30–31 (held): the archive holds a note identifying Nancy Buckler of Great House Farm as the daughter of John Williams of Great House Farm (born c.1867), with her sketch of the village layout. Email (not held): reported only: email reportedly shows DXJF/64/30 associates Nancy Buckler of Great House Farm with a Llandough-juxta-Penarth village sketch, c. 1945–1955, and reports no Great House Farm plans or Vale of Glamorgan Council/successor plans deposited in holdings searched.
Does not prove: D/D XJF 64/30–31: any tenancy, its terms or boundaries; the birth years are estimates written on the card (“would have been born about”). Email: Does not establish continuous occupation, tenancy, freehold title or manorial recognition, or that the 1938 Jenkins-to-Thomas sale concerned the Penarth property, any WGR/Thomas agreement, or that plans never existed or demolition was unlawful.
