Quotation (verbatim): “an open competition will take place at the Great House Farm, Llandough, on Monday next” (27 Mar 1907). “The air-rifle meeting organised under the auspices of the Llandough Air-rifle Club was held on Monday at Great House Farm, Llandough. The conditions of the shoot were—ten shots at twenty yards” (2 Apr 1907). “William Jones, a labourer, of Saltmead, Cardiff, pleaded guilty at Barry to-day to poaching on Great House Farm, Llandough. John David, underkeeper, said that shortly before three o’clock on the morning of the 6th inst. he was going his usual round with a colleague at Llandough … Prisoner was sent to gaol for two months.” (10 Jan 1908). Library OCR, obvious OCR slips corrected.

Fits with: Great House Farm is named as a working farm and a known place in 1907 and January 1908, the year John Williams died (EV-0243). Keepers on a regular night round imply that game on the farm was watched by an estate’s keepers; whose keepers is not stated.

Cuts against: Neither report names the occupier or touches tenure.

Notes: Sync fix: the bpvsbuckler scenes now have a wiki evidence page.
