Shows: In 1923 an Esther Williams signed with the address “Llandough”, on the sheet NLW catalogues as “36 signatures from the area of Llandough”. The same sheet names Llwyn-yr-Eryr (and “Llwyn-yr-Eryr Gardens”) and the Toll House as “Llandough Near Cardiff”, with Lewis Road, Llandough Brickworks and Andrew Road, Cogan: Llandough-juxta-Penarth, not Llandough near Cowbridge.

Fits with: The 1987 judgment (EV-0080) records a February 1916 tenancy of “the whole of the farm” to “a Mr John Williams” and that “Mr Williams and his wife Mrs Esther Williams had also been living there in 1955”; it calls Mrs Mary Buckler “daughter of Mr Williams”. Our position is that the Esther Williams on this sheet is that Mrs Esther Williams, mother of Mary (Nancy) Williams, formerly Buckler.

Does not show: No house or farm name beside Esther Williams; no relationship; no age. No Buckler, Tŷ Mawr or Great House entry on this sheet. NLW search lists three “Great House Llandough” signatures on Petition 1/156; those are Llandough near Cowbridge (not this farm). Records that would confirm the identity: the 1921 census (Llandough household), the 1911 census, Mary’s 1913 birth entry (mother’s maiden surname) and the 1923–24 register of electors for Llandough.
