Chronology and catalogue links — assessed 10-10-2026: See the Institutional Involvement Roadmap (1877–2026) for the date-ordered institution, people and evidence sequence. The reported 1988 Cadw-to-Minister spot-listing letter has its own placeholder at GHF-E152; the original has not been attached to that page as at 10-10-2026. A placeholder records an evidence gap, not the letter’s content or proof of misconduct.

Forensic Assessment — Companies House#

Scope: corporate registry function and surviving company-file evidence relevant to WGR, BP and later development entities.

Newly verified context#

Hansard recorded in May 1980 that Western Ground Rents had been bought by the BP pension fund. The Companies House evidence must now be used to identify the exact historical entity, transaction/ownership dates, directors and continuity of the legal entities, rather than relying on corporate shorthand.

Forensic control test#

Identify the precise company number/name at each relevant date for Western Ground Rents, BP Pension Trust/BP Properties and Ideal Homes. Determine what filings survive and who controlled the entities when the relevant conveyances, registration applications and litigation occurred.

Current finding#

As at 10-10-2026, the material reviewed does not establish wrongdoing by Companies House. This is limited to the registry’s documentary role and does not rule out other actors’ involvement. The registry is evidence about corporate identity and filings, not an adjudicator of the underlying land dispute.

Human action#

Obtain historic filings, name changes, annual returns/accounts, officer appointments and any surviving dissolved-company material. Reconcile these with the 1969 conveyance and 1982–87 registration/litigation chain.

Acceptance: a corporate-identity chronology exists for every company relied upon in the litigation theory.

Institutional appearance timeline — linked source index#

Coverage rule: this is a chronological navigation map of published Wiki source pages found by searching the current site index for “Companies House”. Every event label links directly to the page containing the source. It avoids duplicating source narratives. It records mention/appearance, not culpability. Dates are transcribed from page titles where available; “Date not explicit in title” means the linked source must be consulted. Search indexing is a discovery aid, not proof of exhaustive external coverage. 🕒
