Forensic Assessment — Goldsworthy Homes#

Scope: Goldsworthy Homes Ltd is assessed as a later development/landholding actor only. It is not merged with BP, Ideal Homes, Forest of Cardiff or the Council.

Established role#

Vale planning records identify Goldsworthy Homes Limited (company 03978270) as applicant for land at Keepers Cottage, Leckwith Road, Llandough, including an outline application for 21 apartments in 2002/03-era planning records. Other company records show the company is now dissolved. The project therefore needs to distinguish the later developer’s exact parcel and transaction from the earlier BP/Ideal Homes chain.

Forensic control test#

Identify the precise land, title number, acquisition date, conveyance, consideration and plan for any Goldsworthy acquisition connected with land formerly within the Great House Farm site. Establish what title documents and ownership certificates were supplied to the planning authority.

Current finding#

As at 10-10-2026, the material reviewed does not establish wrongdoing by Goldsworthy Homes. This does not resolve all later title-description or planning questions. The developer record is potentially important because later transfers and planning representations may reveal how Parcel A/B land was described after the 1987 litigation.

Human action#

Obtain the relevant planning file, title register and transfer, then compare the plan against the historical parcel map. Preserve the company-number identity so a dissolved entity is not conflated with another company bearing a similar name.

Acceptance: exact parcel, transaction and planning representation identified or a documented negative result recorded.

Institutional appearance timeline — linked source index#

Coverage rule: this is a chronological navigation map of published Wiki source pages found by searching the current site index for “Goldsworthy Homes”. Every event label links directly to the page containing the source. The page is intended to avoid duplicating source narratives. It records mention/appearance, not culpability. The displayed date is a source/title date cue, not automatically the date on which the named institution acted. This matters for newspaper stories, later summaries and titles naming more than one event; open the source before attributing an act. Search indexing is a discovery aid, not proof of exhaustive coverage. 🕒
